President Xi Jinping Sends Message of Sympathy to President Sergio Mattarella of Italy


President Xi Jinping sent a message to President Sergio Mattarella of Italy, conveying the sympathies of the Chinese government and people to the Italian government and people over the COVID-19 outbreak.

Xi highlighted mutual support and cooperation for win-win results as the defining feature of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. He affirmed the strong support of the Chinese government and people for Italy's epidemic response in this trying time, and offered cooperation and assistance.

Xi noted that mankind, as a community with a shared future, can only counter global risks and challenges through unity and coordination.
